01

Who you are

Your name and postcode reach a tradesperson once you accept their price. Hyyryn never asks for your street.

Name

Eleanor Whitfield

The name on your jobs and payments. Changed on your dashboard.

Held Change it
Email address

eleanor.whitfield@email.com

Where every receipt and notice about your money goes. To change it, write to us and a person changes it.

Held Ask to change it

Optional. Kept by Hyyryn so a person can reach you about a job. Tradespeople reach you by message on Hyyryn.

Where you are

A postcode is needed. Without one nobody can price the travel.

The postcode decides which tradespeople see your jobs and what the travel is worth. Before you accept, they see only its first half.

Photograph

Not available yet

A photograph on a homeowner account is coming. Nothing is needed here for now.

02

What a tradesperson sees

Before you accept a price, a tradesperson has a first name, an initial and half a postcode. This is how Hyyryn draws that line; none of it is a setting yet.

Your name, before you accept

Your first name and the first letter of your surname

Your full name goes over the moment you accept, because the job and the payment carry it.

Held
Your street

Never asked for

A quote is priced on the postcode. The one you accept sees your full postcode, and you give them your street yourself, in messages.

Held
Reviews you write

Signed with your first name and initial

Only a homeowner who paid through Hyyryn can review the job, so a review says the job was real. Other ways of signing are coming.

Who may send you a quote

Any tradesperson on Hyyryn

Only one Hyyryn has cleared (their right to work checked, or a recorded reason none is needed) can send a price, and only one Stripe has checked can be paid. You can also ask one directly from their listing.

How Hyyryn reaches you

All of it is yours. Nothing here is checked and no job depends on it. Read across for a notice, down for a door.

Which notices arrive by which route
Notice On Hyyryn Email Text
A quote comes back
Money moves
A dispute is opened or decided
A message from a tradesperson
A job is cancelled, or a photograph needs agreeing
A company you watch on Records has something new
News from Hyyryn

Everything is always shown on Hyyryn. Money and disputes are always emailed too, because they are the record of your money, and a locked box says so rather than pretending the choice is there. Nothing is sent by text yet.

Money and disputes ignore this and arrive the moment they happen. Tradespeople reach you by message on Hyyryn, which is kept with the job, where a dispute can read it. Every change here saves as you make it.

04

The card that funds the hold

Money leaves this card when you accept a price and stops at the hold. It reaches the tradesperson when you say the work is done.

Your card

Entered each time you pay

You type it into Stripe’s own form when you accept a price, and Stripe keeps it; Hyyryn never sees your card number. Saved cards are coming.

Where receipts go

By email, and kept in your account

A receipt is emailed when your payment is secured, and every receipt is kept in your account.

05

Getting in

Nothing here is checked and nothing here is shown to anybody. It is the door, and the door is yours.

Password

Set

We email you a link to choose a new one. The link works once, for an hour, and changing the password signs every device out, this one included.

A code as well as a password

Not available yet

A code asked for on a device Hyyryn has not seen is coming.

Signing out everywhere

Change your password

A new password signs out every device that was signed in, this one included. Signing out from the menu signs out this device only.

What Hyyryn holds on you

All of it, in one file, whenever you want it. Asking for it changes nothing and costs nothing.

Everything on file

Ready when you are

Your account, your jobs, every message and every payment. Ask and a person puts it together and sends it. There is no automatic export yet, so allow a few days rather than a few minutes.

Ask for the file
Kept after you leave

Payment records, six years

HMRC sets the six years. Nothing else outlives the account, and nothing at all is sold.

Closing the account

One of these two can be undone. Both need every job finished, every hold released and every dispute decided.

Pause it instead

Running

No new quotes, no notices, and nothing new can start. Your record and your reviews stay. Write to us and a person pauses it, and starts it again when you ask.

Ask to pause it

Your account is hidden at once, and 30 days later you are taken out of it: your name, contact details, pictures and words. Hyyryn cannot stand behind money for somebody who is no longer here.

Records the law requires are kept for as long as it says, and no longer.
